job description - Business Development Manager
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
- Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
- Client contracts initiation, review and documentation
- Advise clients on business products or services
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
- Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
- Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
- Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
- Must have 3 - 5 years’ E-commerce sales experience.
- Previous business development management experience within a fast-paced organization
- Have a strong analytical and execution mindset
- Likes wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing ambitious startup environment
- Detail oriented, solutions-focused and is constantly looking for ways to improve and speed up execution
- Highly collaborative and yet independent in creatively unblocking challenges and finding alternatives
- Can work with little guidance
- Likes being hands on and wants to get things done
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Great negotiator
- Decision making skills
- Ability to build rapport
- A ‘change the world’ mindset and a can-do attitude
