• Oversee & supervise the financial & management accounting functions
• Manage budgets, forecasts, actuals, and monitor performance to ensure the business is in right standing
• Provide guidance and support to the executive staff on financial implications of business strategies and decisions
• Prepare monthly financial performance reports with detailed analyses of performance against established goals with recommendations of strategies to seize on opportunities or close gaps.
• Establish and maintain business performance reporting to drive accountability throughout the organization including, but not limited to profitability, cash flow, etc.
• Maintain financial health and integrity of the business
• Monitoring the business performance
• Advising on and ensuring financial policies are enforced
• Track and Communicate Shareholder Value
• Constantly review the economic and business landscape of the company
• Human Resources management for the Finance Department personnel
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
• Monitor cash flow position as well as cash forecasts
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Tax planning & statutory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business, or equivalent relevant experience
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CFA or ACMA
• MBA or MSc Finance will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of quality experience with full grasp of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards, 5 years of which may be in an Agricultural industry or farming business.
