A digital bank designed for all lifestyles is looking for a hands-on CTO who is ready to roll up his sleeves and drive

change within the Engineering Department. Their business prides itself in providing access to financial services

A Bit About The Role

This role will lead the engineering team with the assistance of the VP of Engineering, you will be hands-on when

needed and provide transparency between the engineering team, management and the cross functional teams within

the business. The ideal candidate would be someone who gets excited by the start-up environment, not afraid to

shake things up and who has the unique ability to translate real life business problems into technology and visa versa.

You’d be joining a global multi-cultural business of over 90 employees with operations in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya,

the HQ being situated in Lagos, Nigeria.

Requirements

Your mission:

• Lead with confidence and control remote working engineering teams
• Developing the Business’s strategy for using technological resources
• Ensuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely
• Evaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure (do not be afraid to shake things up)
• Develop technical aspects of the business’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage
• Help departments use technology profitably
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
• Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
  

A Bit About You

• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role, preferably in a FinTech/Tech company
• Experience and understanding of the startup environment (nice to have)
• Proven experience working with the following tech stack, Mongodb, Node.js, React.js, Java(spring), Android
  

(kotlin), IOS(Swift), Vue.js, AWS infrastructure, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Terraform

• Knowledge of technological trends to build a strategy
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
