job description - Personal Chef (Private Residence)
- Plan & prepare meals for the family
- Ensure that all meals are properly prepared & presented in an aesthetically pleasing way
- Develop weekly menus in consultation with the family
- Shop for foodstuff & meal ingredients
- Clean & maintain the kitchen area & equipments
- Setting the table for the family
- Follow special requests & food preferences of the family.
Requirements
- Culinary certification is an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Chef, or in a similar role
- Female/Male
- 30 - 50 years old
- MUST be willing to provide 2 suitable guarantors
- Good communication & organizational skills
- Hands-on experience with cooking a large variety of meals
- Hands-on experience with planning menus & ordering ingredients
- Familiarity with different cooking techniques
- Experienced in preparing local & continental dishes, including pastries & finger food
- Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently & to take direction from the family
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation & safety regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build relationships with the family.
