Price Analyst - RetailQMB BUILDERS' MART

• To study and analyze determinants of product prices and differentials between retail stores and the market spreads with potential arbitrage flows and to analyze factors affecting demand and supply as well as current sales & stock movements - to undertake market assessments under different scenarios and report thereon and support adjustments for competitive pricing, market share, and revenue goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the businesses in determining a competitive pricing strategy to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.
• Analyze data from multiple sources and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies.
• Analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors and report data to decision-makers.
• Identify marketing strategies to increase profits
• Develop measurement tools to identify changing market trends
• Identify appropriate sales and clearance prices to increase customer traffic
• Implement change in prices on ERP and Aisles
• Compare sales trends to previous periods and determine the cause for the decrease or increase.
• Forecast margins to help the business understand the impact of promotional and seasonal pricing
• Monitor input costing changes and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential. changes to finished (product/service)prices.
• Present pricing analysis at a monthly strategy meeting, with insights, trends, and suggestions.
• Communicate and help implement pricing changes bi-directionally through the command chain.
• Lead pricing-related projects including establishing timelines, defining deliverables, and drafting communications or presentations.
• Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the industry via information obtained from financial publications and services, government agencies, company sources, and personal interviews.
• Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change.

Qualification

• OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Cost Accounting, Operations, Research, Statistics, Math, Economics, or related analytical discipline preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role including Inventory
• Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis a plus
• Experience within the Retail/FMCG Industry is a plus
• Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools(Excel pivot tables, SQL queries, graphing, PowerPoint)
