job description - Senior Product Strategy Manager


  • Champion the conceptualization of products and manage product development activities for all sales distributions.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders including sales teams, actuarial services and strategy departments to identify product related gaps in the life insurance industry with a view to developing products that address these gaps.
  • Develop a centralized database of latest market insights, competitors' product offerings, propositions, marketing & sales campaigns for proactive management of competitions.
  • Develop a standardized FBNI process for developing and launching products
  • Engage relevant support departments (IT, Technical, Premium Admin, Marketing, etc) that would be necessary for smooth launching and continuous sale of new products.
  • Coordinate and obtain sign-off for Product Business Case from relevant Functional Heads, and submit for Management and Board approval.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders in upstream discussions, work with Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance and Control department to seek approval from relevant regulatory bodies and ensure timelines are met.
  • Provide on-going support to all distributions (internal and external stakeholders) in all matters related to products.
  • Work closely with Actuarial Services to determine and periodically review new and existing product prices and rates
  • Identify and recommend product bundling opportunities with financial and non-financial services providers.
  • Prepare and obtain sign off for Product Write-Up, Policy Contract, Product Summary etc.
  • Product portfolio management to achieve budget and business KPIs.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration or it equivalent.
  • MBA will be an add advantage.
  • 5+ years of product management or strategy experience.
  • FinTech experience will be an advantage.
  • Enjoy working as a team to solve problems collaboratively.
  • Track record of successfully introducing products to the market.
  • Strategic thinker, analytical & data driven with experience presenting solutions to senior level audience
  • Strong desire and ability to connect with customers understand their challenges and communicate a vision for how our products can address their challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong communication skills across verbal, written and presented content.
  • Experience taking early-stage products from concept through early go to market.
