job description - Technical Assistant - Underwriter
- Review applications for accuracy and determine that the risk meets the Underwriting Guidelines.
- Order Inspections, Valuations, all third-party vendors.
- Rate, quote, issue, bind, and invoice renewals.
- Review inspections and reports to determine that the applicant and risk meets the Underwriting Guidelines
- Review loss history to determine if we want to remain at the risk.
- Review and process all policy change requests and cancellations.
- Back up the new business desk.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Insurance or Financial related discipline.
- One year or more previous experience in the insurance industry.
- MS Office Suite proficiency is a must.
